Treasury Department announced that they’re depositing the rebate checks ahead of schedule. Earlier they were planning to start the process of sending checks on May 2nd. This is now April 28th. Those who have their direct deposit information with IRS as part of 2008 tax filing, will start receiving the amount earlier than those who will receive their check in the mail.
All rebates will be distributed according to the last two digits of your social security number as originally stated.
